SCUM: Into the Wild | July Update
July 20, 2026
The July Into the Wild update is now live, introducing a completely new tutorial experience, mutant wildlife, Master Hunter Quests, major quality-of-life improvements, and official servers supporting up to 80 players.
Into the Wild is also continuing through August and September, giving the team more development time and each update a little more room. Across the next two updates, the season will continue building on hunting, cooking, food systems, and fishing, with new challenges and further improvements still to come.
PREPARE FOR THE ISLAND
THE CAMERAS ARE LIVE. GIVE THEM SOMETHING WORTH WATCHING.
The TEC1 Conditioning Facility is a purpose-built training complex designed to prepare you for the survival show waiting on the Island.
Players will learn movement and stealth, craft essential tools and weapons, face their first puppet, treat injuries, and prove they can handle themselves in combat.

The tutorials available on the Island have also been reworked, with more flexible objectives, improved tracking, clearer item highlighting, and the freedom to abandon or restart them whenever needed.
HUNT THE MUTATED
Mutant deer, boar, and wolves are now appearing in specific locations across the Island, bringing tougher new targets for experienced hunters.

Deep inside the Hunter’s Grotto, the Master Hunter waits with three tiers of increasingly demanding quests. Prisoners will face mutant hunts alongside objectives involving specific weapons, kill conditions, and intact animal parts.
Completing the quest lines unlocks an extensive collection of earnable rewards, including exclusive weapons, hunting equipment, animal charms, pieces of the Master Hunter’s outfit, and new base-building recipes.

IMPROVING EVERYDAY SURVIVAL
The update also introduces several practical improvements across everyday play.
The new Drop All option allows players to empty inventories into the vicinity in a single action, while Pick Up All can collect everything nearby at once. Trader depots now have their own Pick Up All button for collecting larger orders.
Crafting, Cooking, and Base Building have received refreshed interfaces, the taunt radial has been reorganised to make its growing selection easier to navigate, and official servers now support up to 80 players.

The optional Apex Predator Pack also launches alongside the update, adding new gear, weapons, charms, base-building items, character customisation options, emotes, and selfie poses.
