Mark Your Calendars: Brink Releasing in May

We'll keep this one short and sweet: we're very excited to be able to announce the official release date for Brink. The game will ship in North America on May 17, with Europe and Australia following later that same week on May 20.
With the May date confirmed, there's still time for the Americans among you to pick up one of the exclusive pre-order packs for the game. There's four of them and each contains additional customisation items for your character to help you stand out from the crowd. If you're not in the US, worry not. Pre-order pack information for other parts of the world is still to come.

Update: Going along with the release date, we've also got the final box art for you to check out. The three different boxes have magically appeared right at the top of this post.

And can't wait for other pre-order info. I doubt there will be anything in Estonia, but I usually import my games from game.co.uk. So I really hope you guys put something good for that site. :P
Anyway, I still hope that after few months after release we have the change to buy the entire pre-order items pack for like a few bucks. In the end we should have the option to have all the content.

I had a feeling there would be some big Brink news today, on account of the Brink-related dream I had last night. Finally, a release date! Now I can still slowly die from Brink Deficiency Syndrome, but at least I know when I'll be getting the cure.

What's so wrong with the box art? Why exactly wouldn't someone pick that up?
I do think it would be more dynamic if you could see that the character was jumping off of a vertical wall, but otherwise, I think it is fine. Try to look at it as if you don't know all that you do about the game and haven't seen the trailer.

Short of putting "CALL OF DUTY" on the box what else can they do to catch people's attention?
The design is clean, the name stands out and the character looks cool. That should be enough to grab people's eyes and get the box flipped over.
From a previous post. I too would really like a confirmation on a possible retail collectors edition. A simple "There will not be one" or "That is still to be decided" would be a start.

I think the box art is a bit disappointing. Looks like something someone would do quick in Photoshop and it really doesn't give any indication as to what Brink is. And I hate that ugly blue color.

And Rockstar's L.A. Noire will not be a problem because it is an SP experience and it is going to be very niche (though for them that will still mean millions sold).

I like the box art. The original pic it's based on I didn't like since it was so plain, but with the Ark and heavy machinegunner in the background it comes together quite well :)
No that pic reminds me of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Tina Turna deserves her own special level of hell for that movie.

Tina Turner was hardly the worst part of the film, everything was going along smoothly till them darn kids showed their annoying faces, then the film turned into family adventure film or some crap, still for all its faults it was OK film.

Definitely, they wouldnt go wrong with a box art cover like that. All they could do is take out the middle section and have the characters ascending vertically up the box, with 'Brink' in the centre.
Someone who knows nothing about the quality of the game is not gonna make a spontaneous buy of something that has a graphic that looks like its been done by a PS noob.:confused:

Just out of curiousity, do they have the exact same artist doing all of your releases? I mean they are the same pose, pretty much exactly, different games, but it looks the same. Just they are different games. Same weapon angle, everything... weird.
