Splash Damage partners with Out Making Games

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Out Making Games.

As part of our ongoing D&I strategy, we’re committed to supporting existing industry initiatives that are helping support marginalised people and improve the industry for everyone.

We’ve seen the impact that initiatives like this can have, and by continuing to work with people like those at Out Making Games we hope to create lasting change in our industry.

“We’re so excited to be partnering with Out Making Games,” said Steve Hessel, VP of People. “As a studio that strongly believes that teams create their best work when they have a range of perspectives and experiences to draw from, partnering with an organisation which has this important shared value is very inspiring to us.

“I can’t imagine the difference a resource like this would have made to my own journey back when I got my start in the industry. Feeling like you’re accepted and that you belong is so immensely powerful, and we’ve seen this first-hand at our own studio. We’re proud to be supporting Out Making Games.”

Ian Masters, co-founder of Out Making Games comments: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Splash Damage to the family as one of our first sponsors. Thanks to this generous support Out Making Games will be able to do even more to empower and unite the LGBTQ+ community working in the UK games industry. Sponsorship from Splash Damage will allow us to continue developing our policy work and mentorship programme, as well as relaunching our long-anticipated in-person networking events later this Summer.”

Out Making Games marks our 5th partnership this year, following our work with Code Coven, PixAll, Industry Gayming, and Queer in Games.
