I will be surprised if there is a patch that soon. Brink has been in testing for close to six months now. Maybe at the end of the first week, after it has been thrown out into the wild.

Great news, not a bad way to start the week at all. :D @ John_Doe Retailers will take a day or two to update their sites normally (at least), every major US retailer still has the old date as well. That is normal, they don't have people scouring game news sites for stuff like this. The distributor will call them and they will update their street dates then.

Hey Double D, you and I have the same plan about a vacation day! I got mine on D2D though, so not only do I have to see how busy those servers get and how long it'll take to download, but then I guess I still need to activate it with Steam after I get it anyway. You know us ETQW players have been waiting a long time for Brink and it's great news to have it a little earlier than expected. Does anyone who preorded through steam have a timer until release as that might clear up the release time?

Just rearrange the letters in Zarlor and you have my smurf names: RazorL, Lazorr, Rolraz :cool: D2D is Direct2Drive and they had a 20% off all FPS games the other week, so Brink only cost me $40. Since Brink is a Steamworks game I think either I download it from D2D and then activate it in Steam, or someone else said I might get an activation code from D2D which I use to download it in Steam? I'm not quite sure, but I would like to know what time it'll go live in Steam too.

Do you think that the downloadable forms of brink be available earlier? So that on release they are activated and playable.

This is really really annoying to me. Now I have to drive home, give my mom the receipt, and have her get the game while I'm 2 hours away waiting for my last final at the end of the week. And how am I going to make sure that she gets the code? There is a chance it that it could be for the wrong console or that she mistakes it for something else. There is no defined look for Steam codes unlike Xbox codes, which are 5 parts 5 digits. Oh in other unrelated, uplifting news, I got into Digipen Institute of Technology, so it all balances itself out.

Great news SD. As a console player my pesimism alarms are now going off, after seeing what a rushed release date did to GG with KZ3. Since its delayed already and U guys are the only dev to release 'when its ready'. I guess 'ITS READY' :D Thankyou.. Time to adjust my leave dates. :stroggbanana:
