In first place we want to thank SLUT clan for the support, testing and knowledge they shared with us. And of course, cause of they built a great map for run on our Vietnam server: Kha Ran Than

This MOD is based on ETpub 0.8.1 source
Must credit grenade warning, talking radio animation, visible leaning and leg model to NoQuarter MOD

Well, Vietnam mod's important info:

• The MOD has been built by players and no one are professional or amateur average coders. So, we are noobs

• MOD's size is more or less 75 MBs (and 80 MBs the version including installer)

• ET version: 2.60

• At this moment, only Windows clients are supported (no Linux, no MAC)

• The MOD and its parts have been built to run only on the -Vietnam Mod- server.
  Maybe we will turn into a free MOD for everybody in future when it will be stable and Linux and MAC supported

• HunkMegs must be at least 128

Some features are:

• New weapons, of course.. AK47, LAW, RPG, RPD, C4,...

• 2 squads per team (Rangers/Marines in allies and NVA/Vietcong in axis)

• New stats, medals and ribbons system

• some features as self health, sniped gibbed head, fury (our version of adrenaline), anti panzer-lamers system, bloody knife,...

I have one suggestion. Is their anyway we can make mode less then 25Mb in download? Don't you guys think 75 Mb is too much? I never played TC:E because of never ending downloads in mode. More or less if download breaks then again all over.

Just saying my suggestion. Nice works VS| guys. ;) I also like your new website.

With quality comes a price, and I do not think 75 Mb is that high a price to pay to play this magnificent mod.

as we said we are just players with modding hobby....
we do our best to have higher quality keeping less size as possible

in example the really first MOD was 180 Mb ... and now is resized to 75 Mb (but higher quality than before)

i hope in future we can do it better again, anyway "converting" a game ambientation involve really many things...
(in axample) just imagine how many sounds just to convert the german voices to vietnamese voices

btw ... i'm still hoping on a tutorial to created linux .so files from windows :P
so maybe we can think about release MOD to public

I'm here to drop some infos...
we are now cleaning and recoding the whole MOD cause we planned to public release the Vietnam MOD
(ETnam MOD from now) , under Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
this means that everybody will be able to download it and run their own ETnam server

I'm writing this message also for the ET community mappers, not as a request, but just to inform them...
If you have no more ideas about World War 2 maps, you could think about Vietnam ambience

I remember the Vietnam server since it was still customised Jaymod, it's really

One more question will the mod be 2.60b or 2.55 based?

actually the MOD works with both executable files,
than the server administrator/hoster will decide which game version he want to use
