Hi all,

I live in Belgium, Europe. Doom 3 releases on the 12th or 13th August in Europe.

I've got some Questions about the game-editor

1) Will the game include the editor?

2) Does the editor has the same use like radiant?

3) Can you only make multiplayer maps?

4) Is it a complicated editor?

Please give me some answers
:???:

1) Yep. Launch the game in windowed mode and type "editor" in the console (without the quotes). You can also set up a Windows short cut to open the editor directly by adding this: +set r_fullscreen 0 +editor

2) DoomEdit is very similar to other versions of Radiant. The engine has many new features and therefore so does the editor.

3) You can make singleplayer and multiplayer maps.

4) Hehe, see point #3 :P

being a poor european i also dont have the game yet. however i was thinking of planning a level this week sop i can start building it right away when the game arrives. i was wondering what kind of limits there are in terms of tris and what variety of textures come with the game. So far ive only seen pictures with futuristic metal looking areas, i was wondering what other types of enviroment are in the game.

Can you make a terrain with the editor?

And if you make singleplayer lvl's, can you add monters? (of course you can eh :???: )

If it's any consolation, we don't have the game either yet :)

Well right now even most of us Americans are just trying to get our bearings straight in it :) They do have terrain in the Mars surface areas (LOOKS FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC BTW) so yes you can still get more than just metal areas hehe :) I just haven't figured them out as I'm still figuring everything out still. Never used any Radiant editor before.

most of the outdoor areas maybe all, are models, so if you are wizzbang at modeling you could potentialy make some fantastic terrain like id's :D
