Need Help with MP maps

I have a question about creating mp maps specifically. I just started fiddling with the map editor and know how to create simple rooms and single player spawn point but how do I get the deathmatch player spawn points to work? It wont seem to load the map unless I have to add other entities to the map itself or something. Thanks in advance.

you have to use info_player_deathmatch, then at the console type si_map yourmapname, then type spawnserver, and away you go :)
