Hey there,
I'm currently working on a new map for ET and since yesterday I get a strange error (warning?) ...

While compiling it says...

--- PatchMapDrawSurfs ---
BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS BOGUS 77 patches
22 patch LOD groups

..... and later :

--- FixTJunctions ---
5047 axial edge lines
3768 non-axial edge lines
1 degenerate edges
WARNING: Degenerate T-junction edge found, fixing...
3637 verts added for T-junctions
24437 total verts
4280 naturally ordered
821 rotated orders
156 can't order
1 broken (degenerate) surfaces removed

I don't notice any strange effects of this, the map continues to compile and works just fine, no errors showing in the result, but I'd still like to know what this is all about...
It's compiled with a simple -BSP -meta... If needed I can provide a complete log of the compile...
Thanks in advance for your help :)

Your map likely has some degenerate patches. It throws the "BOGUS" warning when it finds a patch vertex with no normal (direction).

Any way finding and correcting those patches?

Did you cap any cylinders, cones, arches, spheres, etc?

Sometimes the capping action creates invalid patch meshes that appear as a single line or point in the 2D view in GtkRadiant.

Select and delete them.
