Me and a friend want to make a panzerfaust trickjumping mod for ET. Its going to basically be just removing all forms of damage to self and others, and making panzer only weapon allowed, with infinite ammo. How hard would it be to do this?



PS Neither of us have any programming experience, but i am learning VB6, if that helps

Just my $.02.
Having been the VB6/C++ industry for 3+ years, I don't think it helped me at all with mapping. I'm still relatively new to mapping (a couple months now), but I suppose having a logical mentality when approaching tutorials, and concepts helped ease the learning curve.

BUT WHY THE HELL CANT I JUST HAVE THE FRICKING SDK!? Activision is the ultimate suxx0r, as they made Elite Force, which totally sucks. And arent they some of the ones that bailed out on the singleplayer mode for ET?

Shut up, ET is free, they didn't have to make it for you. Its great they did a fricking free Multiplayer game, let alone SP, thats just selfish. If you want a good SP MP game go out and spend money, but don't bash a free game, its no expense to you, so you shouldn't expect anything of it.

Uhh, activision doesn't make games. They are publishers, and they publish games made by various developers, including id, splashdamage, raven etc.

You could make the map, and write a server config with cheats enabled and running somthing like ETPro/ETShrub to limit weapons to panzer only.

Not the most elegant solution, but it would do what you require.
