I have added light to my map but there are no light passage from light to shadows, the borders between them are too definite. The map look so unrealistic. :bored:

Is there any other type of light (smooth light) to use :???:

Only when I use the textures light its all right.
But my map is large (a large bunker) so I cant use the textures to illumiate the entire map.

PLZ help me!
:moo:

Hi!
Have you tried that option "bounce"? try bounce 4 or even bounce 8 (it takes longer time). Sometimes that will make shadows more "soft" and better looking.
What I mean, is that the -bsp and -vis are "as usual" but the -light compile has a bounce in it. If you understand what I mean.
Good luck!

Lower the strength of your entity lights, and use more of them, spaced evenly apart. You can get very smooth lighting with entity lights this way. Also, make sure you check the nonlinear box for sexy smoothness.
