See lagometer in screenshot above.

I noticed today that on exiting the Guardpost in the (crappy) map Glider, I get a lag spike. Each time I pass through the threshold of the door there's a spike...
Anyone have any ideas why this is, and can I get rid of it?

I can produce my settings / specs if you want...

EDIT: Seems to happen on lots of other rooms in lots of other maps...

Yep. It is very easy to see when playing baserace.

You walk around in the tunnels for ever, and then when you go out, 10/10 times the lagometer get a big yellow "wave".

The yellow lag, is that client lag or cpu lag?

What is the blue lag btw?

I get this walking through the main door in radar, it's especially annoying when I am trying to jump on the little hill to the left, and I sort of hit a glass wall right at the entrance. It isn't every time, but it can be a pain when I am getting shot at :(
