ET:QW WW2 mod

Do you think there will be a WW2 mod for ET:QW? I know some of you may be sick of WW2 games already, but I love playing WW2 related games, and I think that with most great games, there will be some type of WW2 mod.

If we would look at the how the guys with the Source engine did, it should be W:ET:D3 or W:ET:QW.

I think W:ET should be converted to D3 engine as an ET:QW mod. But I don't mean anything like HL:S. HL:S sucks.

As kamikazee suggested, the name should be W:ET:D3 (unless the engine gets renamed). Surely there must be the name of the game engine.

Tbh, both ww2, current day and futuristic themes have been used too much. I'm pretty sure there are more sci-fi themed shootes than ww2 shooters out there and the sci-fi games seems to pretty much copy each others design so actually I'm more tired of sci-fi games than ww2 games.

I agree. There's still much that is almost unexploited... Like alternate realities. Imagine a shooter in the C&C: Red Alert universe, or some fictional cold war conflict involving East and West Germany and a few other countries. Or some game about an alternate WW1. WW3, it's origin being the Cuba crisis or the war between North and South Corea.

There are just as many sci-fi games out there, I don't see why we shouldn't be sick of these too?
:\ Yes WW2 shooters follow a theme but it doesn't mean they can warry, just check out like, mohpaa, RTCW, Mortyr 2, they're all different. :\
Sure I respect your opinion but I still think it's kind of strange to say you're sick of games based on WW2... aren't you sick of a game/the games themselves?
I mean a game that's base on WW2 could aswell be a game where the developers've just used weaponreferences from the second war or such? :F

I wouldnt mind seeing another WW2 game, as long as it had something fresh. Like an alternate timeline WW2 where Germany took all of Europe and Asia, and turns its sights on America, or a game that maybe takes the lesser known battles and makes a game out of them (not Normandy, Market Garden, etc).

We do not know how RTCW2 is going to turn out. Like every mp game developer they just might have HUGE maps and Vehicles believing that it is a key to success :angry:

So it would ne nice to have RTCW:ET on the D3 ( Q4 ) machine. If SD would deliver this with QW:ET I believe that they would sell a whole lot more of it.

Maybe, but that would also take a lot of time from the developers and might make ET:QW worse :(
