View Full Version : Allocating causes an unexpected shut-down

Hi!

I really have a big problem with compiling my map since the last changes I made...
At first I have to mention, that I tried the newest q3map2 and the map is for quake3...
After an (expected) Final-Compile I've found some brush-errors I didn't have before, cause some brushes were copied in the same place, you only could see that in the editor!
I don't know why and I didn't have problems with that before, but yesterday all the double-brushes were invisible in the game...so I saw the problem in the editor and fixed them by deleting one copy...simple...
After fixing some other problems with the light and detail-brushes I compiled the map again today and after the "allocating"-process the PC shuts-down...I don't have an idea why...
I closed all other programs, used the newest q3map2 with q3map2build cause maybe it could have been something with the console (nobody knows...) and I have the same problem. :???:

If you need some more details tell me.
The worst thing of all is that I have to get the map compiled until 7:30 pm today cause of the contest which ends today evening...

I hope somebody can help me, thx for that now :(

EDIT: With the default-lightmapscale I don't have a problem, just with the scale of 0.1...

EDIT2: I fixed that point by setting the scale to 0.125
