Will update soon on Alcatraz, some really good progress... but I've come up w/ a Q that I couldn't find an answer 4 in search or manual..........

How do U define areas/locations as they are used in the fireteams?

eg.)
TheShniz >>> Sally Port
DeatH >>> Power House
n00b >>> Bottom of the Pacific

I'm sure it's gotta B simple, but I'm @ a loss. We've gotta lot of buildings, and this would B tremendous in helping peeps figure out where they R & the layout of the land.

Thanx!

oh.. i think thats only in ETPro.. not 100% sure but its only in teh origional 6 maps b/c the etpro team did that and sent it out with their mod.. so you'd have to talk to them.. thats only if i'm right tho

target_location entities, the entity definitions for which you will have to add to your .DEF file.

nope, you were right and ifurita was not wrong ;-) ...

target_locations are not supported by vanilla et.
etpro supports target_locations... or you might provide the locations in a seperate etpro-specific text file (which i suggest to prevent warning messages in stock et)

HMmmmmmmmmm, that's 2 bad... I didn't know that, U learn something every day. I'm gonna take a quick gander over @ what they've got on the subject & will prob put this in my Xtra icing on the cake list. It's something I'd really like, but level design is 1st & we're pushing hard 2 get all the mapping done so we can start 2 get a playable beta out. I'd like 2 say that we've got prob ~70% (more or less) of the mapping complete on the entire south side of the island.

U've been most helpful, thanx!

4 those unfamiliar, that's the more densely packed, intricate, built up half of the island! Mostly pathways, ruins, & 1x really long Industry building make up the top half. We're pleased w/ our progress so far.
