Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory #16 in PC Gamer Readers' Top 100

A couple of months ago, PC Gamer asked its readers to vote for their favourite PC titles of all time in order to build the official PC Gamer Readers' Top 100. The results have now been revealed and we're thrilled to see that Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory not only made the list, but managed to climb it all the way to #16!

Here's what community member ailmanky had to say about it on the PC Gamer site:

No other game matches the teamplay of Enemy Territory. Mods are still being developed and improved. Maps are coming out almost every month. A big community is actively producing content and helping each other.

A big thanks goes out to everyone who's played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory over the years, those have created (and are still creating!) new content for it, and, of course, everyone who voted for it to be included in the Top 100. Jawohl!

Crikey! That's amazing : )

I concur with wot Badman said: a huge thank you to everyone who played and/or created content for Wolf:ET. This is all about you chaps: you've done and continue to do extraordinary things. Nice work, guys!

Also thanks to you guys for the game and a good clean and managed forum
I tried several other games in the meantime but i always return to ET cause there is nothing comparable (for me that is).

Finally the results are in.
Sad those mmo fanbois made so much votes. Ignoring them, the list seems more realistic.

Best game ever.

And one of the few ones that can be played under GNU/Linux and Mac OS.

Thanks for releasing it for free.

In my nooby opinion. Wolfenstein ET (A master in disguise) should be within the top 5, even within all these years. The mods keep getting better. The maps are quite good. The community is . I wish I could see it remade into todays graphics so all of those graphic wh*res will join the community!

Yes, and we gladly would pay for it (especially for a uncensored* version in german stores).
If gameplay, scenario and the ability to mod it the way we want without becoming an "unranked" server or other crap are the same as in W:ET, you can simply name the game "WWII".

*blood, gore, violence, "bad" language, ... - don't care about symbols.

yes ET is still the best and funiest game ATM

and thanks you for all the mappers, codders and moders who do a great job to keep this game still a great one since all these years

ET is still the best team based FPS game ever. Period. I'd still play it more if it was easier to find busy non-XP-save etpro servers...

I never did finish a whole ET map in Radiant (I curse that tool!), but I'm glad to see that my bugfix mapscripts are still being passed around, digested and modified for the newest generations of ET players....

Go ET!

I believe I voted it right around 3-4ish.

This is truely the best game ever. I've been playing games since a little kid , nothing has surpassed nor come even remotely close to ET. I quit playing after they released the quake wars thing? thinking it was the end.. But now im just drooling behind my pc . and downloading it as fast as i can .. sweaty hands can't wait to start playing again
Thank you , thank you , thank you for creating this amazing game
Even a nr 1 position wouldn't do it justice.. yes it is That good
