Things You Were Too Afraid to Ask: Miroslav 'Draska' Slowik

Capturing the imagination of the public in the latest entry of our series of staff interviews is landscaper-turned-level designer Miroslav 'Mirek' 'Draska' Slowik. Mirek was one of the level designers on Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and is so far the only member of the Splash Damage team made entirely out of brushes.

To find out more about Mirek, how he ended up at Splash Damage, his work on Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, and why working in the landscaping industry will get you wet, open Radiant and import Mirek's profile entity.

Hi, i was wondering what 3d software you use to build, texture and light the levels featured in brink as the attention to detail is both brilliant and inspirational. i'm extremely interested in games and would love to understand a bit more about your role in video games. i'm doing my gcse's and would like to know how to get into the right career path.

Nice interview. Can you say how many maps you did for Medal of Honor and Call of Duty? And, if possible, can you say in what ETQW maps you worked at? Thank you!
