Platform Optimisation Programmer

We're currently expanding our team of programmers for our multi-platform title BRINK with Bethesda Softworks and are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic people with a talent and passion for advancing the medium.

Duration: Medium Term Contract

Job Description

As Splash Damage's Platform Optimisation Programmer, you will be implementing and improving the performance of the PS3 and Xbox 360. You will work with Splash Damage's Programming Team on many existing sub-systems such as rendering, networking and threading.

  • Implement and port core technology as required
  • Implement platform specific optimisations
  • Ensure Xbox TCRs and/or Sony's TRCs are met

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years game or related experience with shipped console titles
  • Experience with console development on the PS3 and/or Xbox 360
  • Experienced and proficient in C++
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Strong math background
  • Low level hardware skills
  • Experience with Xbox TCRs and/or Sony's TRCs

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of id technologies
  • Experience working as a "Closer" on a number of PS3/Xbox 360 projects
