Bethesda's stand at gamescom this year is a real-life version of Brink's Container City environment and it's very, very cool indeed. Definitely stop by if you're at the show. For those of you who can't make it out there, we hope to be able to bring you a few pictures of it soon.

Wow, the customization system seems to offer some nice possibilities! I like that beret coat combination in the first picture! PS: LOL @ the giant taped walkie-talkies of the resistance fighters! :D

Is it me or some textures look a bit low-res?

On my computer, it won't look anything like that. It will be one hazy orange blob strafe jumping in front of some brown and blue blobs. Knowing my luck, my Q6600 and Geforce 9800GTX+ will be the minimum system requirements... :)

The artstyle is pulling me in so much Its like a grittier TF2; gives the game a unique feel with out taking away from the seriousness of the world I'm getting this for 360 so plz don't kill me :o Oh and I'm new :D

You guys make a great work at it seems, but honestly, why no video allowed (gameplay I mean, characters customization was cool, but we still don't see the point of it) to people outside QuakeCon & nothing more from Games Com ? I'm looking forward for this game, so keep up the cool stuff, dudes ! ps to Badman: it seems that when we click on the pics above, 2 tabs open up with the thumbnail first, then full size pic second (I'm on Firefox just in case...)

I was thinking the same thing, then remembered it's a game for the 360, and of what footage I saw it looked amazing on that and your specs are better than an xbox.

Nice shots, im sure that everyone looking unique will help in some situations - for example knowing which player is your friend without having to aim at them to see a name appear or something

Yeah exactly, and you can easily pinpoint the ones you need to get your revenge from.

yes.. but it adds the the visual feel, the attachment to your character.. which makes the gameplay that much sweeter. like in mmo's and standard rpg's. part of the reason most people enjoy it so much is because of their feeling of attachment to the character, if you look the same as all the other characters your just another grunt, if i look different i want to succeed more so that people can see MY character on top. and don't use "we" when you mean "i"

Recognising specific players on the field (not just their class) IS gameplay.

Sure, then the whole rendering part of the engine is gameplay because you can see others to play with or against :) I got the answer since then: it seems that depending on your character shape, movements can be affected <= that deals with gameplay to me.
