Written by badman on 27 August, 2010 - 17:01 | Tagged
As announced in Bethesda's In The 'Works newsletter last night, Brink will be present and playable at PAX 2010 in Seattle next week. Brink t-shirts will also be on offer there, so you can frag/SMART/mission wheel in style. Formerly lovingly referred to as Penny Arcade Expo, PAX will take place at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, Washing from 3 - 5 September. More information about the event can be found on the PAX website.

I have been much encouraged by two things that have been mentioned in various preview articles:
1. I wasn't the only one who was disappointed/highly underwhelmed by the E3 showing (I was starting to feel like I was taking about the Emperor's Clothes),
2. Previewers are talking positively about the game again.
Theoretically, in every way Brink is the game I have grown up to play. I want it to be all that it can be.
Yeah !! Duke is come back !!! :p with some duke girl and balls of steel !! :p

Big props to Rich Jolly and to Rahdo, I practically monopolized them for over an hour and got to talk about seemingly every single aspect of ETQW and Brink, they are really nice guys. I think I managed to impress upon them my feelings about ETQW's utter perfection and why Brink needs to have all the nice community and HUD features that ETQW has.
I feel like I owe them a beer tomorrow at Paddy Coyne's or the Blarney Stone pub, which is right across the street. Great time, I am looking forward to the next two days.
So what is your impression compared to the last viewing?
I think I preferred the translucent XP Pops rather than the bold green ones that cover a portion of the screen.
Looks pretty frantic.
The hud looks pretty nice. And game looked smooth.
