Brink Previews From Around The World

Just in time for the weekend, here's a round-up of Brink previews from the UK and elsewhere in Europe. PC Zone's Steve Hogarty has written up a great four-pager on the game that can be found in the current issue, drizzled throughout with quotes from Game Director Paul "Locki" Wedgwood and Senior Game Designer Ed "BongoBoy" Stern. Better yet (and most convenient for those without access to UK newsstands), the entire thing can now be found online over at GamesRadar.

In more international news, there are a few more gamescom write-ups we haven't mentioned yet, and since bulleted lists are utterly handy for this sort of thing, we've assembled one below:

If you've spotted a Brink write-up we've so far managed to ignore, please let us know in the comments.

New screenshots! Could you put the original ones up (like, without artefacts)?
Brink is not so much from his innovative playing features. Most of what you'll take to Brink in fact, you probably already seen in another shooter Facepalm

Nice screenshots, ragdolls ftw! I didn't read the reviews yet but will you find your nickname on the name tags of shirts (it says Lidberg on the last screenshot)?

Cool so nicknames are now nameplates?

That little name tag is static and part of that particular outfit, so it won't actually have your name on it (unless, I guess, you're Linus :)).

So everyone who wears that suit is called Lidberg?

Aw but nicknames on nameplates would be awesome!

"Flicking to a radial menu, a shopping list of objectives fills the screen and Wedgwood settles on the order to destroy the resistance's blockade. It immediately breaks down the objective into steps, the first of which is flagged on-screen: find a command post to change class. Wedgwood will have to slip into the role of a soldier before he can plant the explosives". I'm fairly new to objective based games but to my knowlegde you usually just get objectives presented based on your current class. Yes? So this is good! And I assume there will always be at least one objective in there for your current class (which is easy/quickly to spot?) Or is this a silly assumption? Love the new screenies! ARG, I want winter to go by faaast!

Yup, when you look at the wheel, you see a list of objectives made for you based on what class you are at that moment. And there'll always be at least one or two objectives (based around the core objective of the map) available, but there's almost always secondary objectives too.

Ah I totally misinterpreted that little piece I quoted... I was thinking you get a mixture of objectives for all classes (so roughly 25%/25%/25%/25%) The "find a command post to change class. Wedgwood will have to slip into the role of a soldier.." part made me do it, I dont know why :o
