Job Description
As one of Splash Damage's Senior Game Designers, you will work with the Design, Programming, Sound and Art teams to develop compelling game experiences in our new unannounced title.
- Assist the Lead Designer in the day to day managing of the Design Team
- Work with Design Team leadership and other Designers to help deliver gameplay experiences that embody the creative vision of the game
- "Own" the collaborative process for key game features, with Programmers, Artists, Sound Designers and Production staff to bring the game world and its characters to life
- Assist other members of the Design Team and become a go to point for possible solutions when problems arise
- Effectively present to project stakeholders
- Effectively communicate with and motivate peers, Design management and anyone else within Splash Damage
- Create documentation, concepts and prototypes for specific game systems
Essential Skills and Experience
- Have worked on at least two commercially released titles, preferably across multiple platforms
- Minimum of 5 years Game or Level Design-related experience
- Knowledge of industry trends in regards to genres, gameplay, development models, and financial models
- Strong presentation skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Unreal Ed, Doom Edit, Quake Edit, GTK Radiant or Hammer
- Experience with Maya or 3D Studio Max for basic geometry building tasks, as well as simple camera animations
- Experience with the MS Office suite (including PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with a scripting or programming language
