Batman: Arkham Origins Multiplayer Nominated for Develop Award

The nominations for this year's Develop Awards have been announced, and we're delighted to see our work on Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer among them. Arkham's multiplayer portion is up in the Best Use of a Licence or IP category, where it joins titles like Disney Infinity, Metro: Last Light and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

The winners will be announced at the Develop Conference and Expo on July 9th. For the full list of nominees, check out the Develop website.

Congrats guys! It's always great to see innovative gameplay within the MP space receive the attention that it deserves. That's no mean feat!

Is this a joke? The abysmal work you did on the QA side of the multiplayer portion of the game, especially when it comes to connectivity, should exclude you from any and all award considerations. In the six months since release I was able to connect to a multiplayer session only twice. So, I paid full price for half the experience I was promised. WB Games and yourselves should be bloody ashamed of what you shipped to your customers. But since WB Games obviously doesn't give a ***** it may not be entirely your fault that the multiplayer issues have not been adequately addressed. You should not post this as if it was something to be proud of. With all that's wrong with BAO's multiplayer a little humility might be advisable.

HerrKohl, we're very sorry to hear that you've been unable to enjoy the multiplayer portion of the game. To clarify, project QA generally happens on the publisher side of the fence as developers are unable to maintain large teams of testers themselves. That's obviously no excuse for the issues you've been having. Out of interest, have you had a chance to try the matchmaking improvements we rolled out at the start of the year (see http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/39082-Multiplayer-Status-Update-January-20-01-2014 for more information)? Once again, sincere apologies for the poor experience you've had.

Not everyone is having issues with the game. In fact a lot of the issues I've had with the game are due to the Steam service not the game itself, although I am a PC user not a console user. You can't hate on Splash damage too much. It is WB who is charge of whether the game gets updated and patched, I'm sure if Splash Damage was given the green light they'd fix many of the issues. They have already fixed a couple of issues without patching the game, so it's not like they aren't listening. Warner Bros are the ones in charge so your hatred should be directed towards them for the issues not being fixed.

i dont think u win any award with this mp and most of the gamemagazines have the same opinion as i. i think the idea was great. rly !!! i enjoyed the mp a lot at my pc. but the technology wasnt as good as needed. lags, connection loss and all that is just to much for a player today. and be real: batman and robin are mostly anoying and not a threat. i wish u more luck with the next game
