Textbook Like the versatility. She is fast. She heals and dishes out damages from a grenade or up to 120 dam from the cockler

Its very hard to pick one, I love Dave as he can run so far and can deal dmg and has a grenade. I also like Madame Lahague as her Rifle is so nice. Merci is so great cause she heals all around her BUT cannot heal herself which is sometimes bad but cool. Pete is fun to begin with as he has massive dmg potential. Richie with his 3 arrows is like a pete with more grenades, lots of fun. Im not sure who to buy next so thats why I will also add my dislikes. I do not like the fact that some Soldiers can only use a very limited range of weapons that has for instant good melee dmg but bad range dmg. I understand why due to balance but there are some soldiers who has 18 Points and can shoot 4 times with a rifle! Dacova. Now having to face 2 of them makes the game unbalanced. I also dislike the fact your main radio soldier cannot use a rifle, why not? I think one should limit or have a custom limit mode where one can limit which different type of heros can play for instant only one soldier allowed etc. That might balance things out. I dont like to loose its fun to play but thats my two cents...

Kate, no contest. I like to crunch numbers and really think about adding other Soldiers to my roster but when the time cane (early on) to get Kate I didn't even need to: Light Medic is the best class.

I picked Juan, that guys a beast, great dmg great energy (18) nice. :) havent tried textbook kate, good idea! :)

I voted Kate as well, not because I own one of them, but rather they keep owning me in PvP. I should have got her instead of the Russian and some others. Not fully realizing what each soldier and weapon does, wasting money. My own fault, really.

Juan DaCova. He can fire the Avenger HSR twice in one turn. Nuff said.
Posted on 5 January, 2013 - 09:28
I picked Juan, I swapped his weapon with Sneaky Pete and Juan can shoot the rifle 4 times if he doesn't move. That is 80+ damage in a turn. :)

I think Juan is overpowered at the moment to be honest... I have to get him to stay even with those fighting me with 2 of him!

Well having a well balanced set of units is one thing, but having multiple of any unit will create a overpowered formation when you typically try to place a balanced squad on the field to combat a variety of things. If someone turns around and drops 3 kates or 3 Juans, it will of course cause a problem to most people's regular formations because they are not equipped to heal that much DoT typically. But then building a formation with a couple Angelas and some 300hp heavy gunners or riot trooperscould be a nice counter to that due to healing 40 hp a round by default if your units are grouped and a separate 80 hp a round from 2 medkits (which also cure Kate's poison DoT). Juans are powerful though but I don't think they are grossly overpowered but are limited by 3 energy per step. If you keep them at a distance and heal the DoT, they are left with avg movement and a oozi.

Gus Marx there are so many different usages for him and his artwork is awesome.
Posted on 7 January, 2013 - 17:06
Agree with Tinker. Gus Marx because his model is awesome and because a heavy medic with pushback is awesome for versatility.

Aye. Fun to skyrocket your own heavy sniper a few squares he (Juan) can both move and fire twice (or thrice with medium)

I noticed heal can't actually shut off Fire DoT, and I'm wondering if that's really working as intended. Seems a bit much honestly.

Think it is intentional. Remember I tried the water cannon on my unit think that getting hosed down by water ought to extinguish the fire. Guess what. It doesn't. Could be a feature :)

so many soliders, so fun. But, I have to go with Archie Fletcher. I guess all of you have got vipet by him (them).. ;)

Was it you doing three of those at some point? Underestimated the nuke in those

I should vote for Kate as I use her most often and I believe she is the most useful unit even after update (before update Kate with Katana was my favorite). I voted for Megan as she is the current queen of close combat!

Let me enlighten you: Pick up that Botherer SR and use Dacova...at 18 total energy he can fire it 3 times from start, doing over 180 damage!
Posted on 9 January, 2013 - 20:52
That is what I'm using now, didn't have one before :) Very nice to sneak into place and in the next turn reveal and take 3 full power shots
Posted on 9 January, 2013 - 21:08
Without a doubt it is Juan. Juan + the Botherer = long range destruction, not to mention the molotov which is extremely effective. Not to mention if you double-Juan your squad, one with a melee and one with the botherer, using the cloak can be vital to strategic flanking.

I can't afford 2 of anything lol. I'll be lucky to get a character or two a month the rate gold is coming in....

Posted on 15 January, 2013 - 00:13
Sneaky Pete at number 2 Sneaky Pete is one of my favorites

I kinda got super confused with action points. I was always wondering why Hipster Dave could run so far with only 12 AP... so I bought Juan DaCova because he had 18 and a melee weapon... I thought he'd be a quick in-and-out melee type. Oh how wrong I was! Thankfully I've got a Katana on him now (knockback is so crap on a melee dude) and I use him as a very sneaky dude who ends his previous turn standing next to someone then using all 18 energy on Katana slices. Gus Marx is my favourite design though. Not only does he look cool, the Knockback gun has so much versatility as well as his 18 AP for just standing there and shooting his SMG about 6 times in a row :D Ivan Tkilya was my first purchase and I do like him... but he's not nearly tanky enough for his low maneuverability so he tends to get ganged up on if I want to put him in a position and camp down.

Gus Marx. He's my first and so far, only, purchase and I haven't regretted it. He looks awesome, can do damage at close range and has a lot of HP so he's able to heal a lot in a single game. I love his water gun too, especially because I can use it for knock back multiple times and it even works as a long range damage weapon in some situations (for example when you want to finish someone off but he's too far for the cockler and everyone else has no energy). So yeah, it's Gus.

Juans character shouldnt have the snipe rifles it just feels overbalanced as a sniper with so many shots and can take damage well. He has a hefty health and the way he looks more a close in fighter designed like a street rioter. Clones or team up with the other two snipes types or Kate right now are pain in the Arse. I try not to favour one type but try to have a balance of assorted types to give movement/hitting power or staying power. Only thing I dont have is a melee type which be nice to reduce the squad skill of rather than energy cost.

Favorite doesn't mean best, so sorry Juan. I'm currently OBESSESSED with Meagan. I have three now and I'm grinding like crazy to get a fourth:) She is just fun, zippy and she can use my favorite stumpy shotty. The mines are just killer, with three chances. My favorite is to blow back a melee unit with the stumpy, then lay a mine in the knockback square. He comes roaring in next turn only to die:) Here are the ends of turn one and turn two with three Meagans in the Crosshair Crisis challenge. The crazy thing about this game was the AI never stepped on a single mine! I won, but only because the mines kept him busy enough for me to bring up the heavies:)

LaHaque. Fast, Agent, interesting and useful special ability. All fun characteristics, all in one toon. Second place to Gus and honorable mention to Dee, both for their special abilities.

My favorite rad soldier is extremely hard to decide Carlton grosso with hamjak is a deadly combination and his turret is epic . Juan is a beast with a bothered fireing it 3times 1 go. And his Molotov is handy. But gus is probably the best for versatility water cannon healing and good armour with the cockler he can fire it loads making a fair bit of damage:stroggbanana::rolleyes:
