ETQW One of GameSpy's Top 10 PC Games of E3
GameSpy have published their Annual E3 Awards, with Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars making their Top 10 PC Games list. They called it "one of the most impressive PC titles on hand, and one we're looking forward to playing a lot more of", and went on to conclude:
Continue reading »What's really impressed us about Quake Wars so far is the amount of depth in the game. You could spend countless hours playing as a single class, learning the ins and outs of each map, and then find that playing as a different character requires an entirely different approach. Even after playing the beta map dozens of times, many of us have still only scratched the surface of certain classes, let alone figuring out some of the Strogg's more unique abilities, like the ability to convert fallen enemies into spawn points.
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Nominated at Game Critics Awards
The Game Critics Awards panel have announced this year's nominees and Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars managed to garner two nominations - Best PC Game and Best Online Multiplayer. These Game Critics Awards are handed out annually by an independent organization comprised of journalists from over 36 major North American gaming publications. You can find the full list of nominees on this page. The winners will be announced on July 31.
ETQW Makes Xbox 360 Debut At E3
The E3 Business and Media Summit took place in Los Angeles this month and among the attractions was the first-ever public showing of the Xbox 360 version of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. A brand-new official trailer is now available, showing gameplay from the Xbox 360 version. You can watch a high definition version of it over here at GameTrailers. Also on show was the PC version of ETQW, demonstrating the abilities of the computer-controlled opponents ("bots") on the Valley map.
